โ—Reporting a Player

๐ŸŽฎ Reporting In Game

if you have witnessed a rule break or have been on the receiving end of a rule break you are encouraged to use /report function in game.

When reporting a player to get their player id you can use /ids to add into your report.

Your report should be formatted something like the below:

/report ID 23 is killing players for no reason.

Examples of reports that wont enable us to help you are:

  • /report help me

  • /report admin to me

  • /report he killed me

Once you have reported a player you should attempt to move on from the Roleplay as soon as possible. Taking matters into your own hands goes against our vigilantism policy and makes things harder for our staff team to assist you.

Please note that staff members try their best to handle player reports without disrupting the Roleplay. You may not witness the player being punished directly. If you think that your report was not addressed by any staff member, then you can submit a player report ticket.

๐Ÿ“ฌ Player Report Ticket

Before raising a ticket, you should ensure that you satisfy the following:

  • What you are reporting is a rule break.

  • You are the primary person affected or witness to the rule break.

  • If you did /report to the best of your knowledge staff were not able to action in game

  • You have some form of evidence a rule break has occurred (this can include a detailed report from yourself)

To raise a ticket, visit our Support section at the bottom of our discord and select Moderator+ Support / Player Reporting Ticket.

You need to fill out the form with details of your report. You should try to provide as much information as possible however if the fields do not allow you type that much you can always add more information to the discord channel that will be created when the ticket open.

๐Ÿงพ Providing Evidence

You may have evidence you wish to provide in your report. Please ensure your evidence meets the following criteria.

  • If providing a clip, it should be 10mins in length to provide context of the situation, we may not accept video evidence that is less than 5mins in total length (either multiple consecutive clips, or one clip)

  • Video evidence should contain the full scenario unedited, any clips that may be edited or missing audio will not be accepted on the grounds that it does not provide full context.

  • Evidence you provide is expected to be viewed by the staff team and may be supplied to any offending parties if they contest. You may request that your evidence remain private however this may limit our ability to action the report if contested.

๐Ÿ•™ What to expect once your report is raised?

We may be in contact to obtain additional information or clarify anything provided in your report. You will be notified of this in the discord channel. We may require this before being able to process the report further if your report lacks enough evidence and detail for us take action. In lieu of receiving or needing further evidence you will be alerted that your player report was actioned.

As a policy we do not disclose specific actions taken in player reports or share player punishment history with the community.

โœ‹ Reporting a Staff Member

NSRP Staff are not above the rules and are expected act within the community guidelines. Typically all reports on Staff Members are handled via the Staff Admin and can be relayed via Direct Message to an Admin or Raari (Staff Admin).

You can report a Staff Member for:

  • Not following the Community Guidelines

  • If you believe they have not followed Staff Policy when acting in their role with you

If you have an issue with the punishment a staff member has given you then you should instead raise a ban appeal via our forums.

๐ŸŒ Out of Scope Violation

From time to time you may encounter a community member in another community or game. We do not enforce our Community Guidelines on players outside of the context of NewSpark Roleplay. This means that if they violate one of our community guidelines on another service that we do not control we will likely not action it unless it has a specific reference to NewSpark.

Example of an Out of Scope Violation (not reportable)

A player has RDM'd you in another server or has used offensive language in another game.

Example of an In Scope Violation (is reportable)

A player blows up your Minecraft house and is harassing you on discord when they have stated they are doing so because you arrested them in NewSpark Roleplay.

Not all In Scope Violations may be actioned by staff. You may be required to provide evidence you have reported the player on the platform this occurred on before we proceed as this should always be your first point of contact before us.
