⚠️Staff Actions / Ban Appeals
So, you have received a staff action and want to know what you can do about it?
Remain Calm!
Its important to remain calm after or during receiving a staff action. Our Staff are just doing their best to enforce the community guidelines and we do not tolerate any abuse or arguing.
We provide chances to appeal so before you make things worse by loosing your cool consider the appeals process and how your actions will reflect to the admins who are reviewing your appeal.
Staff Action Types
We believe in giving everyone a chance to learn our rules and become an outstanding member of the community. As such our system for violating the community guide lines is per the below
There are two types of Warnings you can receive 1. Verbal Warning A verbal warning is when a staff member may pull you out of roleplay for a discussion around what rules may have been broken and you will be provided guidance on how to view the rules and given the opportunity to ask questions. 2. Informative Warning
An informative Warning is when you may get a notice up on your screen that is a direction from staff. These are often preventative in nature and are used to give immediate instruction to a player to prevent a rule break or further rule breaks occurring. Escalation Depending on the number of warnings you have and on what guidelines have been breached you may receive multiple warnings before you receive a yellow card however
Can I appeal?
Not all staff actions are open to appeal and you should review carefully to consider if your appeal is something the staff team will accept. For instances where you believe the staff action was not justified or incorrectly applied you can appeal however you should only do so if you have evidence or can provide new information that would result in a different outcome for your staff action. If your appeal is to just directly argue the merits in which you received your staff action and not provide any new information, then it is unlikely we will accept this appeal.
For all other staff actions then the only appeal we accept are for permanent ban appeals.

For the best chance at getting your ban appeal accepted its important to remember we take into account all actions before and after receiving your ban. Most successful ban appeals demonstrate some form of acknowledgement of wrongdoing and provide reassurance to the staff team that future rule breaks wont occur.
How to turn things around
If you are a player who has experienced a period of successive rule breaks or over time has accumulated a significant staff history, we do have pathways for you to not have your next mistake mean you are out for good. Primarily this is our policy of if a player has had 3 months of "good behaviour" (no staff actions) then we will reset your next staff action back to a 1 day ban and go from there.
Discord bans
Appealing in a discord ban goes via the same route as all the other bans. A discord ban is considered a permanent ban & can happen for a variety of reasons. Like with any other ban, it's important to include as much information as possible regarding the circumstances of your ban
Even the NSRP staff team can make mistakes. It's important to add as much information as possible in your ban appeal & remain respectful towards the staff member(s) who applied your ban and the Admin handling your appeal. Failing to do so can lead punishment under rule 1 and a extension of your ban.
